Who we are

Turfs Up ("Turfs Up", "we", "us") supplies and installs artificial turf, putting greens, pavers and landscaping across North and South Carolina. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the Turfs Up Yard Visualizer at this website. Questions can be sent to enquiry@turfsup.com.

Information we collect

• Photographs and images you upload of your property, including any metadata embedded in those files.
• Project information: property type, ZIP code, area measurements you enter or draw, intended uses, style and feature selections, timing and budget range, and any comments you add.
• AI-generated visualizations created from your photograph and selections.
• Contact details you submit in the final step: name, email address, phone number, property address and preferred contact method.
• Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referral or campaign parameters (UTM values) used to reach us.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the Visualizer is not directed to children under 13.

How we use your information

• To generate your yard visualization and estimated square footage.
• To recommend suitable SYNLawn products and produce a preliminary budget range.
• To contact you about your enquiry, schedule a consultation or site assessment, and prepare a quotation.
• To keep internal project records, train our team and improve the accuracy of our estimating tools.
• To meet legal, tax, warranty and record-keeping obligations, and to prevent fraud or misuse.

Our legal basis is your consent when you upload images and submit the enquiry form, and our legitimate interest in responding to and servicing your request.

AI processing

To create your concept image we send your primary photograph and a text description of your selections to a third-party AI image generation service. Your name, email address, phone number and street address are never included in that request. The AI provider processes the image to return a generated result and, under our agreement, does not use your photograph to train public models. If you would prefer no AI processing, contact us and we will handle your enquiry manually.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only with:

• Service providers who host our website, database and image storage, send our email, and provide the AI image service, in each case under contract and only to provide those services.
• SYNLawn or a Turfs Up installation partner where this is necessary to price or deliver your project.
• Professional advisers, insurers or authorities where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Photograph storage and security

Uploaded photographs and generated images are stored in a private storage bucket. They are not publicly accessible and are viewable only by authorised Turfs Up staff through time-limited signed links. We use encryption in transit, role-based access controls and least-privilege database policies. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not upload images containing sensitive information or identifiable people without their permission.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not proceed: project records and images are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
• Customers who proceed to installation: records are kept for the life of the warranty plus the period required by law.
• You may ask us to delete your project and photographs sooner at any time.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights email enquiry@turfsup.com with the reference number shown when you submitted your project. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You will never be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

You can also opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message, or ask us to stop calling or texting you.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep your place in the wizard and to keep you signed in if you are a staff member. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though the Visualizer may not work correctly without essential storage.

Third-party links

Our site may link to product datasheets or partner websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for their content.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The revision date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
